Which is the right set for you?

Smart Doll's are available in two different flavors - a "Sports Bra Set" & "Apparel Set." Guys normally wear bra's at home when nobody is looking but our Smart Doll guys don't which is why we've given them a pair of Boxer Shorts instead. If you are buying a Smart Doll for the first time then choosing either set is enough - you do not need to get anything else in addition - but extra accessories will enhance your Smart Doll experience.
If you are going to keep your Smart Doll at home or in the office and prefer them skimpy then go for the Sports Bra Set - but the Apparel Set is way better value for your cash.

Choose the Apparel set if you plan on taking them out n about - and save money at the same time as it will cost you more to buy the apparel set items separately. If you take them out in the Sports Bra Set then they may catch a cold. Alternatively you may want to go for the Sports Bra Set and then choose to customize the look and feel of your Smart Doll by buying additional apparel items. You can see what items the current Apparel Set consists of on this page.

Which is the right body type for you?

While the head and hands will be vinyl - you have a choice of two different types of body - one is referred to as Cortex and the other as Vinyl. Both body types are pre-built.

Both are made from the same 3D data and share pretty much the same shape and form - all our apparel, accessories and body parts are compatible with both body types. The fundamental difference is the material and the way they are constructed. Vinyl being more expensive does not make it better than Cortex. Neither type is more superior than the other and they both have their own strengths depending on your needs.

To find out more about the differences then read the Cortex or Vinyl post which should give you more info to make a decision.

Asking for the following will result in a cancellation and refund of your order.

  1. Asking for a discount
  2. Asking us to lower the declaration value of your order
  3. Asking us to ship out ASAP
  4. Asking us to deliver by a particular date
  5. Asking us who shot first - Han or Greedo

Unfortunately we don't own DHL or FedEx (yet) nor do we have celestial powers over a pandemic to guarantee a delivery date on the other side of the world - and we don't enjoy it when people refuse to pay import taxes resulting in goods being returned to us. Not to mention that there are people who reject packages that don't arrive in time for a birthday.

We presume that your order is reliant on such requests being answered.
We can't do any of the above and can't tell you who shot first even though we think it was Han. So don't ask :-)

Sign Language T-Shirt

I love learning languages. My native tongue is English, but I also speak Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Cantonese, Hokkien, Shanghainese, and Huttese. Lemme share some useful Huttese greetings.

"Yoka to Bantha poodoo" - "You're bantha fodder.

"Solo bolkubok-u-chala" - "I like Captain Solo where he is."

But there are many languages one can choose to learn beyond the spoken type - like sign language developed for folks with hearing loss.

I've encountered many situations in daily life where sign language would have been useful to know at the time. For example, trying to communicate with somebody through a pane of glass (in a shop, on a train, etc.) or with somebody standing at a distance in a noisy crowd, or when it wasn't convenient or awkward to speak aloud.

Even though I don't have much opportunity to converse with folks with hearing loss, I still encounter situations where I can use sign language with my team members or wifey.

I've been learning ASL (American Sign Language) from YouTube - mainly from the "Learn How to Sign" channel at youtube.com/c/LearnHowtoSign.

One of the first things I learned was the ASL alphabet, and with that newfound knowledge, I made this T-shirt - I'm not going to tell you what it says, so you need to learn to read it ;-) I randomized the skin tones for the first design, but it wasn't easy to read.

We will provide this T-shirt free to Smart Doll owners with hearing loss who rely on any sign language or care for those who do. If you are such a person, when placing an order, please leave a note telling us your sign language story. We can still include the cochlear implants and BTE hearing aids in addition to the T-shirt for free - but do remember to request what you need.

I understand that there are many types of sign languages (and not just ASL), but I chose ASL because I have already conversed via email with many of our customers in America who have hearing loss - maybe I can converse with them in person one day.

Things to note about printed tees

Our T-shirts, crafted in Kyushu and printed in Tokyo with a Roland Versa UV printer, face the unique challenge of fabric movement during printing – it's almost as if the tees are playfully resisting the process! In our last print run, we experienced a quirky outcome: 52 of the 200 shirts resembled a 'Back To The Future' logo due to an upward skew!

While some tees might not have perfectly centered graphics, a simple twist once on your Smart Doll can make it look just right. Those that don’t meet our standards find a second life in our outlet or with our team members.

Over time, the graphics naturally adopt a vintage, faded look. Washing the tee, though not recommended, accelerates this effect, perfect for those who prefer a more worn-in aesthetic.
