Which is the right set for you?

Smart Doll's are available in two different flavors - a "Sports Bra Set" & "Apparel Set." Guys normally wear bra's at home when nobody is looking but our Smart Doll guys don't which is why we've given them a pair of Boxer Shorts instead. If you are buying a Smart Doll for the first time then choosing either set is enough - you do not need to get anything else in addition - but extra accessories will enhance your Smart Doll experience.
If you are going to keep your Smart Doll at home or in the office and prefer them skimpy then go for the Sports Bra Set - but the Apparel Set is way better value for your cash.

Choose the Apparel set if you plan on taking them out n about - and save money at the same time as it will cost you more to buy the apparel set items separately. If you take them out in the Sports Bra Set then they may catch a cold. Alternatively you may want to go for the Sports Bra Set and then choose to customize the look and feel of your Smart Doll by buying additional apparel items. You can see what items the current Apparel Set consists of on this page.

Which is the right body type for you?

While the head and hands will be vinyl - you have a choice of two different types of body - one is referred to as Cortex and the other as Vinyl. Both body types are pre-built.

Both are made from the same 3D data and share pretty much the same shape and form - all our apparel, accessories and body parts are compatible with both body types. The fundamental difference is the material and the way they are constructed. Vinyl being more expensive does not make it better than Cortex. Neither type is more superior than the other and they both have their own strengths depending on your needs.

To find out more about the differences then read the Cortex or Vinyl post which should give you more info to make a decision.

Update - Courage gets a revamp with new eyes and the Mermaid Wine wig.
James Meredith became the first African American to enroll at the University of Mississippi but was initially denied due to the color of his skin. In 1962, a federal court ordered the school to admit him but when the school governor refused to comply, president Kennedy sent federal marshals and troops to escort Meredith to the school.

The students felt it was their constitutional right to refuse “to socialize or fraternize with an undesirable student” - their backlash was followed by violent riots where 2 people were killed and many injured. Meredith knew that he was putting his life on the line and indeed was harassed during his time at the school where even his family was targeted. But Meredith wanted admission for his country, race, family, and himself. Meredith's admission became pivotal in the history of civil rights in the United States.

There is a statue of Meredith at the University of Mississippi - he is walking towards a monument that has the word “Courage” engraved on it together with "perseverance," "opportunity" and "knowledge."
The statue serves as a symbol and a reminder of his courage to want to live life for what he was in an environment that discriminated against him and his kind.

Africans were shipped against their will in ghastly conditions to America (and other parts of the world) where they were given new names and lived as slaves. Slavery was officially abolished in 1865 in the US but the dehumanizing continued with segregation.

Slavery continues to live on in modern day society in a different form although many don’t see it as “slavery” - they see it as a “constitutional right.”
Before we were taught that it was OK to dehumanize and keep slaves - now we are taught that its ok to dehumanize anybody that works in the service sector.

It wasn’t until I launched Smart Doll when I came to the embarrassing realization that I too treated others in the same dehumanizing way. I would be obnoxious to airline staff knowing very well that they were only doing their job. I would write emails of complaint to various web related services starting my mail with “I am a paying customer of your blah service” - society taught me that being a paying customer gave me constitutional rights.

It’s these “constitutional rights” that entitle passengers to physically abuse train and bus drivers - that entitlement was gained from the one dollar they paid for the ride.

There is a general principle in Japan which says “The Customer is God” - in America I believe they say “The Customer is Always Right.”
This principle is obeyed by almost all Japanese businesses and especially drilled into those working in the service sector.

Entitled customers don’t give a flying shite about humans who work in the service sector and see us as convenient stores that must be open 24 hours a day seven days a week - must be in stones throw distance and must have anything that they want in stock (even if they don’t want it they still want it in stock just in case) where all items sell at a dollar. When these said terms are not met, that’s when the dehumanizing starts with aggressive behavior and or foul language.

If there is any one thing I need to do before I die - it’s to encourage folks who run businesses in the service sector to do a double take and re-think whether they really want to continue to let customers dehumanize their employees.
I want our product and brand to serve as an example that we can create a successful business by placing employees at the center instead of customers - and in doing so create products that care about people and the environment.

I am intentionally transparent about our business philosophy which has contributed to reducing the chances of entitled customers buying our products - I would rather have far less sales than to have our employees be something that one wipes off the bottom of their shoe.

This is not to say we should look down on customers - we prefer to treat customers with equal respect rather than a celestial being.

In this busy day and age it’s easy to loose focus and forget our values which is why symbols are important and serve as a reminder. Courage is a symbol and a reminder to me that Smart Doll should always focus on employees who will naturally deliver the quality that we want associated with Smart Doll - and never ever become a business where the interests of customers come before employees.

Smart Doll will never become a business that encourages entitled customer behavior contributing to the continued cultivation of modern day slavery.

Courage was first introduced in Valiant's story. She looks particularly great with the Millennium Boots with Black Nice Tee and shorts combo!
