Hello! my name is Cris Vanz and I am the adoptive father of six great Smartdolls whom I name as: Mirai, Jean (Journey), Sakura (Haruka), Cris Jr. (Eiji), Serenity (Entropy), Kristen (Dimension) and creator of this beautiful project called FamilyVanz, and I want to tell you a little about how all this was born.
It all started in 2016 when after studying photography as a hobby, I decided to create an instagram account “TheHipsterDolls” and where the protagonists and models were barbie and ken dolls and that this account is still active until now.
It was until mid-2018 when browsing Pinterest the first photo of a Smartdoll appeared and from that moment I fell in love with those dolls and started looking for more and more photos and information until thanks to the youtuber My Froggy Stuff I knew how it was named and where to buy them.
That's how in December 2018 I decided to buy my first smartdoll that was Mirai and from the first moment I had it in my hands it was one of the most beautiful sensations and emotions of my life, it was love to first sight and that's why I decided to create her account on instagram which I called "MiraiVanz".
Little by little I was getting more into the world of smartdolls, meeting and following more lovers of Smartdolls and motivating me to continue taking photos of her, but I got to a point where I wanted to try something different and I got the idea to take some photos where I was with her.
As time went by and I acquired new clothes and accessories, I saw the opportunity to start matching clothes with her and I began to see that our followers liked it.
Then the family began to grow with Jean (Journey), then with Sakura (Haruka) until I met the smartdoll Eiji and it occurred to me to do it as a mini me, next came Serenity (Entropy) and finally Kristen (Dimension) and for that reason I decided to change the name of our instagram account to "FamilyVanz".
For me each one of them is special because they all have a story with me and also each one represents a different phase of my personality, but the most important thing of all this great project has been to convey to people that we must never stop being children, that despite the fact that we are adults with responsibilities and obligations, we still have our inner child with us and that sometimes for us having a toy that is very important to us can give us that company that we sometimes need.
