Squishdellia
I've always been captivated by the remarkable talent within our Smart Doll community, and Squishdellia's work stands out as a shining example. Since she first encountered Smart Dolls on Flickr back in 2015, it's clear that her journey has been one of passion and dedication. What impresses me most is the natural, earthen feel of her creations. The level of detail she achieves is something we at Smart Doll Land strive for but often find elusive. Her ability to turn simple materials and colors into miniature outfits that radiate both charm and personality is nothing short of artistic alchemy.
Her journey from struggling with initial sewing attempts to mastering the craft is truly inspiring. It reflects a deep commitment to learning and growing within her craft. The fact that she finds sewing for Smart Dolls both enjoyable and convenient speaks volumes about the versatility and appeal of our dolls as creative platforms.
Having worked with Squishdellia on past projects, I'm thrilled to see how much the community values her contributions. Her ongoing engagement in the creative community around Smart Doll is a testament to her passion. I'm excited to continue watching her journey unfold and am proud to have her talent as part of our Smart Doll family.
I'm truly honored that the community has chosen Squishdellia as a Smart Doll Creator. In recognition of her invaluable contributions and as a token of my appreciation, I'm delighted to offer her a Smart Doll of her choice. This gesture is a small way to acknowledge her creativity and the impact she's had on the Smart Doll community.
Squishdellia offers valuable insights, providing a behind-the-scenes glimpse.
I first discovered Smart Dolls in 2015 on Flickr, during the era when it was the main hub for the doll community. I had seen photos of Mirai and her progress, and I became interested in the dolls. It was later that year I welcomed home my first Smart Doll, Ebony. I was really impressed with my first Smart Doll, especially the support stand. I started bringing my Smart Doll with me more, and my other dolls less, because of the convenience Smart Doll offered.
I began learning how to sew doll clothes around 2008. I was having trouble finding the type of clothing I wanted for my dolls, so I decided to try to make my own. My first attempts were not very good, and it was difficult, but I just kept practicing and trying out different things. Once I got the hang of it, I found out that sewing is actually pretty fun, so I continued onward. When I received my first Smart Doll and started sewing for her, I discovered that Smart Dolls were enjoyable and convenient when it came to sewing and crafting. Smart Dolls have since become my main doll for sewing doll clothing.
When it comes to sewing, I basically just make what I like. I only use materials and colors that I really love. It's a fun process for me to design and then bring to life miniature outfits, I treat the whole procedure like figuring out a puzzle. Over the years that I've been sewing, my enjoyment of the hobby has only grown. I want to continue learning to sew new things and create the different designs in my imagination.
Thank you Danny for creating such a fun doll that sparks the creativity of so many people around the world. I love seeing the creative community that has sprung up around Smart Doll! I will continue to participate with my creations, as well as enjoy the creations of other collectors.
