Every Tuesday morning in Japan, I make an effort to tune in to "Smart Doll News" by My Lady Disdain. Their live show and the community they have built are representative of what Smart Doll customers are feeling, thinking, and seeking. Their valuable feedback is reflected in the business and product design decisions that I make.
If you're a Smart Doll enthusiast, I highly recommend checking out their channel. Even if you can't attend their live shows, their recordings are available on their YouTube channel for you to catch up on.
It's an honor that the community has nominated Sandee and John as Smart Doll Creators. To express my gratitude for their contributions to the Smart Doll community, I have sent them Smart Doll Never Say Never.
Overall, My Lady Disdain's live show and the community they have built are a testament to the passion and enthusiasm of the Smart Doll community. I'm grateful for their feedback, and I'm delighted to have Sandee and John as Smart Doll Creators.

Here are some insights from My Lady Disdain, accompanied by a glimpse behind the scenes.
Sandee and John discovered Smart Doll in the middle of the pandemic. Coming from a background in theater and visual arts, they were deeply missing their creative outlets and sense of community. Sandee thought of all the beautiful costumes she could make for Smart Doll that she wouldn’t attempt on humans. John was excited by the endless possibilities for photography and story-telling. They immediately bought two dolls, one for each.
My Lady Disdain, their YouTube channel, is centered around collecting, creating, and story-telling with Smart Doll. Through collaborations with other artists they have created unique characters and stories with intricate costumes, sets, and digital effects. With each project, Smart Doll continues to push their creativity and technique.
Sandee and John were also inspired by frequent Smart Doll updates sneak peaks to create the Smart Doll News, a weekly livestream where they discuss and speculate on all things Smart Doll. Their loyal community loves voicing their own theories, getting advice in the Q&A, and seeing their own Smart Dolls appear on screen during the "Smartie Party” segment.
