Introducing the Turbo Joint - not a type of weed that will make you high but a joint that fits onto existing stand plugs which will give your Smart Doll a much more dynamic posing experience.
The current stands have a plug at the end which fit into the Support Socket at the back of the Smart Doll but the plugs are molded at a certain angle. The Turbo Joint will give you more freedom to pose your Smart Doll in a way that was previously restricted by the physical form of the stand plugs. You can use two of the joints together to give you even more freedom or join a load together to give your Smart Doll an extra Dr Octopus arm.
As you can see from a couple of photos on this page - you can even have your Smart Doll doing a flying pose too. Make sure the joint plug is a snug fit before using - if its not snug then read the post processing section below.
If you don't pose your Smart Doll much and are happy with the current stand then you prob wont need this.
Before you buy - a word of warning that you *may* need to do some post processing on this product. We treat the plug of the joint to give it a bit more thickness by first sanding the plug and then applying some super glue - we do this to make sure that the joint fits the majority of sockets - both on the doll and Turbo Joint.
However, not all sockets are molded at the same time so there may be slight differences in circumference size leading to a loose fit. To remedy this all you have to do is what's shown in the photo on this page - apply super glue to the plug and leave to dry - don't plug it in before it dries!
You can also use a small band of sellotape on the plug which will give it more thickness.
Some folks may want to glue this tight onto the end of their current stands - or you can leave it stuck in the back of the Support Socket on the doll - its up to you. I recommend strongly against gluing it to the doll - unless you want a permanent tail.
We put a dab of grease underneath the washer to prevent it from coming loose when the joint is twisted. If you find the joint coming loose, remove the screw and place a dab of grease below the washer.
If you feel you are not up to any of the post processing mentioned above then please avoid this product.
Oh, and as for why its called Turbo Joint - no particular reason - I just thought it sounded cool ;-)
