Introducing “No Body But Me” - a Smart Doll character that has… no body.

The clue is in the name. Literally.

This is an experimental product with limited slots available while we continue refining workflow, logistics, website UX, and customer expectations.

Important: This product does NOT include a Smart Doll body.

“No Body But Me” is intended for folks who only want the character head. Each order includes:

* Painted head
* Eyes installed via cradle
* Head cap
* Wig

A body is NOT included. The product name literally contains “No Body,” but we’re mentioning it again anyway just to be safe. :-)

How To Order

To request a specific character, first visit the product page of the character you would like.

If the character is eligible for No Body But Me, you will see an:

“Own a Smart Doll body? Purchase Head Only”

link on the product page.

Clicking this link will take you to this No Body But Me page and automatically populate the notes field with the information we need to process your order.

This workflow ensures that:

• The requested character is currently available.
• The required information is provided in a consistent format.
• We can process orders more efficiently with fewer delays and fewer follow-up emails.

What Happens If I Don’t Use The Character Link?

Orders should always be placed using the link on the character page.

The previous workflow relied on customers manually entering character information into the order notes. While that worked, the information was often incomplete, inconsistent, or requested characters that were no longer available.

The current workflow helps reduce errors and provides a better experience for both customers and the Smart Doll team.

Random Character Option

If you would like a surprise, you may leave the character selection blank.

In this case:

• A random character head will be selected and shipped.
• We do not check previous order history when selecting random characters.
• We cannot guarantee that the random character will be different from characters you already own.

Please note that random selections are based solely on what is available at the time your order is processed.

Why Are We Doing This?

We regularly hear from customers who only need a head for a variety of reasons. Some already have a body and want a different character. Others have inherited a body, want to save on shipping costs, or simply do not have room for another complete Smart Doll at home.

Until now, these requests were handled manually through customer support and special requests. While that worked, it often involved additional back-and-forth communication and wasn’t particularly efficient for either side.

“No Body But Me” is our first attempt at making the process more accessible. It’s still experimental and will likely evolve over time, but we believe it is already an improvement over the manual process that came before it.

As with all experiments, we’ll continue refining the process based on feedback and operational requirements.

Pre-orders

No Body But Me will not be available during pre-orders for the time being.

This is a new workflow for us, and we're still working through some of the operational complexities to ensure everything runs smoothly.

We'll make it available again once we're confident we can support it without causing delays or confusion.

Folks who request a No Body But Me option when placing a pre-order for a fully assembled doll will receive the fully assembled doll as ordered.

Installation

When attaching the head to the body, you may notice that the neck opening is surprisingly small. This is normal and entirely intentional.

The snug fit helps keep the head securely attached and prevents it from spinning around like it’s possessed.

The first time you install the head, you may need to apply a little more effort as the opening is designed to gradually stretch and conform to the neck peg. Once fitted, future head swaps will be easier.

If the opening were larger, the head would spin out of control and into orbit. 

If you prefer, you can gently warm the neck opening with a hairdryer before attaching the head. A little heat can make the material more flexible and make installation easier. Please take care not to overheat the vinyl or burn yourself in the process.
