All body components in this product is softgrade sofubi - the same squishiness as the bust and hands.
The Full Soft Peach Body is designed to enhance both aesthetics and functionality. It gives a more… peachy appearance to the lower body and improves thigh mobility, as you can see from the photos below. Do note that the area around the bottom will squish to form gaps when in a “knees pulled towards the chest” sitting position.
This pose is possible because we use soft grade sofubi for the entire body. This material offers more grip, which might make it a bit challenging to pull undies or jeans over the peachy bottom.
As you can see from the comparison photos below, the Peach Body on the left is significantly more peachy and can even hold a business card—a test we used during development. The front of the torso also has a more defined sculpt but creates a slight gap beneath the bust and around the crotch.
Reasons not to buy
Purpose and Posing Abilities:
The primary purpose of the Peach torso is to enhance its peachiness. Additionally, it aims to extend posing capabilities, though this comes with certain limitations, such as potential warping.
Warping During Certain Poses:
When executing the “knees pulled towards the chest” pose, you may notice warping at the bottom of the torso. This pose is not obligatory, and if you prefer to avoid this effect, you can choose not to use this pose.
Fit with Bust:
The torso may not perfectly match the bust, which could result in slight visible gaps, as shown in the photos below.
Climate and Material Response:
The sofubi material’s squishiness generally allows the torso to revert to its original shape, thanks to its plastic memory. However, in extremely cold temperatures, the material’s squishiness might decrease, affecting both the knee-to-chest pose and the torso’s ability to return to its original shape. If this occurs, applying a hairdryer to the torso can help it regain its original form.
Handling and Socket Stability:
The way the body is handled could potentially loosen the socket. While we have not experienced this in our tests, it is a theoretical possibility. Should this happen, simply loosen the screw inside the support socket, reposition the torso, replace the socket, and then retighten the screw to secure it.
Assembly Required:
The body ships as a “simplicity kit” that requires assembly. We are unable to pre-assemble the body before shipping, so you will need to assemble it yourself or seek assistance. Attaching the arms and bust is straightforward; however, attaching the shins may require more strength. We advise bending the shaft to a 90-degree angle and then pressing the knee down into the socket within the thigh—also bent at 90 degrees. Listen for a click to ensure proper attachment.
Production Efficiency and Cost:
We operate with only one master mold for the Peach Body torso, limiting our production efficiency and capacity. This constraint impacts the pricing, making it more expensive than a Smart Doll. Given that the Peach Body does not include a head or wig, some customers may find the pricing to be unjustified.
