Kanata Hoshikawa - Always seems to be grumpy about something but in fact she is in deep thought. She spends a lot of time on her own as she knows the value of solitude - time set aside to think and reflect. It’s this time that she uses to think about the world and the way it works which has lead to her being an entrepreneur and inventor.

Before You Buy - Porcelain White (Summary)

Porcelain White uses a full soft body so parts age at a similar rate, helping reduce long-term color mismatch. The softer surface may feel grippier when dressing, but allows for a wider range of articulation.

Due to the lighter tone, yellowing, small blemishes and subtle texture variations are more visible than on darker skin tones. This also results in a higher rejection rate during production, which affects availability and pricing.

You may also occasionally notice faint blue marks or traces of blush overspray on heads and body parts. Based on our observations, we believe the blue marks are caused by tiny airborne particles becoming trapped in the sofubi during casting, as our production environment is not an airtight cleanroom.

Blush overspray around areas such as the ears is a natural result of the hand-painting process and occurs on all skin tones, but is much more noticeable on Porcelain White. Any heads with blue marks or paint visible on the face are rejected into Chaos, but faint marks in areas normally covered by the wig (such as around the sides or back of the head) may still pass inspection. The photos above show examples of the level of cosmetic variation you may encounter.

Over time, slight discoloration and subtle differences in hue may occur, even within the same batch. Environmental factors such as UV exposure—especially in high-altitude or sunny regions—may accelerate this.

Availability may be limited and released in batches due to both production yield and ongoing raw material supply challenges.

If you are particularly sensitive to cosmetic imperfections or require strict color consistency, Porcelain White may not be the right option for you.
