We engage in extensive painting experimentation for the heads when we create new masks. Initially, the paint masks are not in a usable state upon arrival, requiring us to etch and solder the masks to refine them. This process leads to the creation of multiple head variations that look similar but differ from the final product.
During these tests, our focus is on the shape rather than the color, so we often use whichever colors are available at the time.
Many of these heads are experimental, designed to test various masks. Some might be nearly complete, while others may feature only one aspect, like just the mouth. Some tests might even focus on adjusting the pressure of the airbrush on the cheeks.
