For the past half year we have been working with knit factories across Japan to see what possibilities can arise from having more control over the woven yarn such as weight, gauge, ply count, color and so on. We now also have more control over the rib count of the edges which enables us to add more refined knit items to the line of Smart Doll apparel including cardigans, sweaters, camisoles, beanies and soon bikini’s too!


First announced last August, this baggy knit cardigan is made in both Toyama and Niigata Japan. Specs are 8 gauge x 3 ply and the yarn is made from cotton 70% with the remaining 30% being a linen/ramie mix.

Goes great with any of our apparel items but in particular the Lace Sports Bra (black). It's best to remove the hands before slotting the arms through the sleeves as the fingers can get caught in the knit and make a gaping hole. 

Oh - the caption of the photo of Mirai looking into the distance is "One day Mirai - all this will be yours."
