The Takashin Boots have evolved over the past few years from being a round toe back in 2018, pointed toe in 2019 and now as a hybrid lace boot - introducing the Takashin Tripwire Boots.
Designed to match our line of Post Apocalyptic wear, the extra-long lace is used as a tripwire for unsuspecting zombies. When not in use, the boot's six eyelet placement allows you to create creases on the trunk with the boot's collar open or closed.
Thread the lace through the eyelets as shown in the photos and pull down on both ends of the laces which will crease the trunk of the boot - then wrap the rest of the lace around the boot and tuck in the ends in one of the nooks and crannies.
If your Smart Doll finds themselves in a heavily populated zombie area, they can wear the boot plain and wrap the lace around their wrists instead for easy tripwire access and placement.
There is no right or wrong way to wear the boots - let your creativity decide. Boot Cuffs and molotovs sold separately.
A word of warning of the possibility that the eyelets may oxidize and turn green depending on the environment you live in. This is not so much a problem with the standard lace boots because the tongue of the boot prevents the eyelets from touching the vinyl leg. However, the eyelets on the Takashin Tripwire Boots may come in direct contact with the vinyl.
If you want to prevent oxidization effectively then you need to live in an atmosphere with little or no oxygen. Mars has 0.13% oxygen in its atmosphere and thanks to Elon Musk, it looks like we are getting closer to living on there - maybe wait until then to buy.
The boot cuffs, Smart Doll, buildings are sky are not included. You will get a pair of boots and a pair of long laces.

Reasons Not To Buy
- Smart Doll boots may cost more than your own shoes—unless you're a sneaker collector, in which case your Smart Doll might slap you out of jealousy.
- The price of our leather boots may fluctuate depending on our production schedule and stock levels. When our schedule is tight—limiting how many we can produce—or when inventory is running low, prices may increase accordingly.
- The interior is lined with cream-colored material to help minimize staining. However, the outer leather does not have such protection, so prolonged contact with sofubi may result in discoloration.
- Made from real leather (not faux), these boots will feature natural blemishes. We haven’t found a better long-lasting alternative yet, so for now, these are unfortunately not vegan-friendly.
- Product may differ in the extent of aging or patina from the photos, as leather naturally develops character over time.
- For a more weathered look, you can:
- Lightly sand the surface
- Rub it with your fingers (natural oils will enhance texture)
- Just wash your hands first if you’ve been eating a Big Mac—those oils don’t count and will just annoy your Smart Doll due to that Mc Dees smell following them everywhere.
- Color names are just a guide:
- “Brown blah boots” could be anything from light tan to dark chocolate.
- “Wine red blah boots” might range from soft rose to deep cabernet.
- Not suitable for snorkeling, scuba diving, or other water-based fun.
- Not recommended for storing ice cream.
- Not ideal with wedding dresses—unless your Smart Doll bride plans to do a runner after.
- Soles do not have nonstick properties. If your Smart Doll steps in dog poo:
- The poo will stick (as poo does).
- Wipe it off on grass and kindly remind your Smart Doll to watch where they step.
- But beware—if another dog has already blessed the grass, you may end up layering poo on poo.
- If that happens, let the whole mess dry, then remove it with a chisel and hammer. Try not to breathe while doing this.
