According to Google-sensei, this type of garment is often referred to as “Ripped Jeans,” “Distressed Jeans,” or “Torn Jeans.” However, we've chosen to name ours "Tokyo Jeans" simply because they are stitched in Tokyo.

These jeans also undergo a journey to Okayama for additional processing, including laser etching for whiskers, manual ripping, stone and bio-washing, and a secondary dyeing process to achieve a brown/yellowish worn look. Finally, a color-fixing agent is applied before they return to our Tokyo studio for loose thread snipping, quality control, and packing.

Despite some initial reservations about making ripped jeans due to concerns about uneven rips and laddering, we went ahead and prototyped them. The results were most bodacious! However, for those interested in these jeans, it's important to set the right expectations...

Reasons Not To Buy

1. For those considering these jeans, especially when paired with stain prevention leggings, it’s important to note that they have a tight fit, which might make dressing your doll more challenging. Our advice is to firmly pull the jeans over the bottom area. If you’re concerned about the difficulty of putting them on due to the snug fit, this product might not be suitable for you.
2. The rips in each pair of jeans are handcrafted, ensuring no two pairs are identical.
3. Our product photos are taken from actual samples, highlighting their similar yet distinct appearances.
4. The holes, laddering, and fraying threads will vary between pairs.
5. We aim to preserve some laddering in the rips, but post-production stone washing may lead to more fraying or larger holes by the time they are packed.
6. Over time, as your Smart Doll wears these jeans, the laddering may extend into larger holes. We recommend being careful when putting them on to avoid catching the feet in the rips.
7. The uniformity of the laddering in the rips will vary, and some pairs may have more fraying upon packing.
8. Jeans with holes but no laddering are not considered defective.
9. The length of loose threads at the rips will not be uniform, with some rips having longer threads than others.
10. We are unable to accommodate requests for selecting a "perfect" pair.
11. As with all our jeans, movement around the waist may be restricted and cause your smart doll to lean back slightly when they are seated.
12. Your Smart Doll may also show some of their botty when seated unless they are wearing the stain prevention shorts or stockings to hide the kraken.
