Smart Doll owners and Culture Japan fans are free to use the illustrations on this page for their projects at school or home - and monetize from anything they make. This includes printing the images on mugs, posters, T-shirts, jumbo jets, or interstellar craft.
There are only a couple of conditions.
- Keep the aspect ratio of the images when resizing.
- Do not flip the images so that the "d" logo ends up looking like a "b" ;-)
- Give credit by linking to smartdoll.jp - this can be on the page you are selling your stuff and does not have to be on the actual product ;-)
To download the images, click or tap on the thumbnail and wait for the original resolution image to load. Then right-click or tap and hold for the options menu to download and save - like this ;-)
Some browsers will force the image to be downloaded in an odd file format - if this is happening to you, look for an extension that enables you to download the images as PNG. This Chrome extension enables you to force a PNG download, for example.
If you have issues from platforms like Etsy or Printful, Zazzle, etc. stating that they need documentation showing that you have permission to use the images - just direct them to this page ;-)
The format of this page is wonky at the moment, but you should be able to click on a thumbnail that will reveal the original PNG file. I will fix the formatting of the page so that the thumbnails don't decapitate the illustrations, and I will add more images over time.
I may remove older images to make space for new ones. You can still use the previous images for your monetization projects.
