This is the "Open Version" of the Mecha Gauntlet. The "Closed Version" lives here.
This is the "Open Version" of the Mecha Gauntlet. The "Closed Version" lives here.
The Mecha Gauntlets are inspired by the large mecha-style gauntlets featured in games and anime, such as Vi’s Atlas Gauntlets in League of Legends. Captivated by this aesthetic, I decided to create a similar version for our Smart Dolls.
Design and Variations:
We offer two variations of the Mecha Gauntlets, each tailored for different aesthetics and functionality:
* Mecha Gauntlet Open Version: This variation includes a gauntlet body with open cannons paired with relaxed, open hands. (product link)
* Mecha Gauntlet Closed Version: This version features a gauntlet body with closed cannons and fists. (product link)
The hands on both versions are interchangeable, allowing for enhanced play and customization. To mix and match, such as attaching a fist to an open cannon body, you would need to purchase both versions. This flexibility allows you to customize the look and function of your Smart Doll to suit your preferences.
The photos provided showcase examples of how you can mix and match the gauntlets and are labeled “both versions are required to recreate this setup.” These images do not represent the exact configurations you will receive. For details on what is included with each purchase, please refer to the photos labeled “Mecha Gauntlet Open Version” or “Mecha Gauntlet Closed Version.”
How to Attach and Remove the Gauntlets:
To wear the Mecha Gauntlets, simply remove the doll’s hand, slide the Gauntlet Body onto the arm, ensuring it grips securely onto the hand peg. To remove it, gently pull off the gauntlet to prevent the hand peg from staying inside; if it does remain, use long nose pliers (not included) to retrieve it.
The transparent version of the Gauntlet Body shown in photos is solely for demonstration purposes, illustrating the inner mechanics and how the hand peg fits into the ball joint.
Ensure that the Gauntlet Body is securely attached before heading outdoors to prevent it from slipping off.
Handling and Usage:
The Mecha Gauntlets are relatively heavy, which may challenge some Smart Dolls in maintaining certain poses. Manage the weight by slowly extending the arm with the gauntlet and gently releasing your hold.
Inclusive Design:
Our commitment to inclusivity is reflected in these designs, accommodating limb differences. The three-finger design of the hands, similar to our amputee arms and prosthetic legs for Smart Doll
Reasons Not To Buy:
-
The fingers of the Mecha Gauntlets are non-articulate and fixed in position. However, the fingers on the relaxed version are flexible enough to hold items, such as a mini non-alcoholic beer. Given the scale of our operations, producing gauntlets with movable components was not feasible. We chose vinyl slush casting as it best suits our manufacturing capabilities.
-
As previously mentioned, the photos provided demonstrate examples of mixing and matching between the gauntlet body and hand parts and do not represent the exact configurations you will receive. To understand what is included with each purchase, please refer to the photo labeled "Mecha Gauntlet Open Version" or "Mecha Gauntlet Closed Version."
- The enhanced capabilities of the Mecha Gauntlets may give your Smart Doll enough power to break into your safe, nab your credit cards, and secretly purchase accessories.
