Meet C'est La Vie
The gentle realist. She doesn't sugarcoat life's struggles, and she won't push false positivity on you either. What she offers is simpler: the reminder that ups and downs aren't setbacks, they're just the rhythm of being human. Life rises, it falls, and it rises again. That's not failure. That's just life.
She won't tell you to "cheer up" or "move on." When things fall apart, she sits with you in the low moments and says, "This hurts, and that's okay." She knows sadness isn't weakness, and pain isn't pointless. But she also knows a low point isn't the end of the story. It's often where something quieter starts to take root.
To her, acceptance isn't giving up. It's planting your feet and saying, "This is where I am, and from here, I grow." She's the shrug that doesn't mean indifference but understanding, the kind that only comes from trusting life's ebb and flow. The quiet sigh that says, "Yes, this is hard, but it's not forever."
Through her, you learn it's okay to feel down. Just don't unpack and live there.

If you’ve been following the journey of Smart Doll, you’ll know that one of our ongoing challenges is electroplating the master models used to create our sofubi molds. The second attempt at the G16 sculpt was no exception and resulted in a few surface blemishes being transferred to the mold.
After evaluating the sculpt and testing various face-up designs, I decided that the mold was more than suitable for production. The blemishes do not compromise the character’s appearance and, if anything, add a little individuality - much like the imperfections that make each of us unique.
For transparency, I’ve included close-up photos of the blemishes in question. Because they originate from the mold itself, they will be present on all characters produced using the G16 sculpt. During production, we spend considerable time reducing their visibility through sanding and finishing work, but some marks cannot be removed entirely.
Transparency is important to us. We want you to know exactly what to expect before making a decision, and we’d rather provide too much information than too little. If these blemishes would affect your enjoyment of the character, please keep them in mind before adding them to your collection.

Soft vinyl, while a wonderful material, is prone to scuff marks. While these are almost invisible on Cinnamon or Tea skin tones, they can be more noticeable on Cocoa. To address this, we provide a free Melamine sponge upon request with your order. Include a note in the order field requesting the "free melamine sponge."
When removing scuff marks, gently buff the surface with the sponge in a circular motion. If the scuff is on the face, take extra care to avoid disturbing the makeup. The process may leave a bit of sponge residue, but it's easily brushed off. Following these steps, scuffs will either vanish or become significantly less apparent.
Please be aware that due to the slush casting process, minor blemishes can occur, which might be more visible on the Cocoa skin tone. If you anticipate this as a potential issue, we recommend considering this factor before purchasing.
We often hear feedback suggesting that our cocoa skin tone dolls pose a challenge to photograph. For those finding it difficult, consider researching photography techniques or trying out camera apps that offer adjustable exposure settings.
It's worth noting that this advice isn't exclusive to cocoa dolls - it can equally apply to our cinnamon skin tones, where overexposure can be a concern. A slight adjustment of exposure settings (and willingness to learn) can go a long way in getting the perfect shot.
