The phrase 「好好学习，天天向上」(hǎo hǎo xué xí, tiān tiān xiàng shàng) —translated as “Good Good Study, Day Day Up”—is a well-known Chinese slogan that encourages consistent learning and self-improvement. While the direct English translation may come across as quirky, that’s part of its charm and cultural resonance.
We’ve added our own twist by including the phrase 「智能娃娃」(zhì néng wá wa), which directly translates to “Smart Doll,” at the beginning of the slogan. When read together—「智能娃娃，好好学习，天天向上」—the phrase symbolizes our ongoing commitment to learning, refining, and innovating the Smart Doll line.
Over the years, we’ve launched products that have been both hits and misses. For instance, Cortex 1 didn’t meet expectations, but the lessons we learned from that experience directly shaped the development of Cortex 2. This spirit of continuous improvement is part of our DNA, and we embrace both progress and imperfection as part of the journey.
The shirt itself is printed on white fabric, but we encourage folks to dye it if they want a more lived-in, retro aesthetic. As the fabric softens and ages, the print takes on even more character—much like how our work evolves over time.

On smooth surfaces like paper, this produces razor-sharp detail, but on fabric the weave and fiber composition soften the look. Polyester fibers have polymers that open under heat, allowing the gas to chemically bond and lock in color. Cotton fibers, however, don’t bond in the same way — so the design may appear less crisp, with the natural texture of the fabric adding to the effect (image 1 above).
Unlike traditional surface prints, sublimation becomes part of the garment itself. That means the artwork won’t crack or peel, and the shirt stays light, breathable, and comfortable — with a finish that’s made to be worn, not just looked at.
