Smart Doll will be exhibiting at Maker Faire Bay Area on September 25–27 2026 at Historic Mare Island in Vallejo, California.
Maker Faire is a celebration of creativity, engineering, art and technology—a giant show-and-tell where makers, artists, engineers, hobbyists and educators share what they’ve built. From giant robots and kinetic sculptures to electronics, cosplay, vehicles, 3D printing and handmade crafts, it’s a great day out for families and anyone curious about how things are made.
We’ll be bringing a selection of Smart Dolls in both Sofubi and Cortex for folks to see up close, along with a few samples you’re welcome to handle. The Smart Doll team and I will be there throughout the event to answer questions and chat about creative uses, including photography, animation, robotics, cosplay, and product design.
If you’re a creator, educator or maker and think Smart Doll could play a role in your next project, we’d love to chat. We’ve previously donated Smart Dolls to STEM and art programs and would be happy to explore similar initiatives with schools, makerspaces and educational organizations.
We won’t have Smart Dolls for sale at the event—our focus is on demonstrations, conversations, and meeting everyone. :-)

We’ll be flying in a little early for our usual road trip, exploring more of beautiful California and Nevada. This time we’ll be stopping in Sacramento and Reno along the way.
